Veo 3.1 vs Kling 4.0 vs Seedance 2.5 vs Wan 2.7: Cost per Clip

Nov 4, 2026

Last updated: November 4, 2026

Short answer: for a standard 8-second clip at 720p on Banana AI, Veo 3.1 Lite is the cheapest at 15 credits, Wan 2.7 costs 128 credits, Kling 4.0 costs 232 credits, and Seedance 2.5 costs 504 credits. At our credit-pack prices, that works out to roughly $0.50 to $41 per clip, depending on the model and which pack you buy.

Every number in this article comes from the same pricing function that charges your account when you click Generate, so the article and your bill cannot disagree. This is a cost and capability comparison, not a quality ranking. We did not score output quality here.

How we calculated the cost

  • Credits per clip are what Banana AI deducts for one generation at the stated resolution and length (prices as of November 4, 2026).
  • Dollars per clip use two reference points from our pricing page:
    • Low: the Pro Pack, $99.9 for 3,000 credits, about $0.033 per credit.
    • High: the Mini Pack, $4.9 for 60 credits, about $0.082 per credit.
  • Same spec for every model: 8 seconds at 720p, the setting almost every model supports. Where a model works differently, the table says so.
  • Failed generations cost nothing. If a generation fails, its credits are automatically returned to your balance.

Seedance 2.5720p, 8 s504$16.78 – $41.16

A few things the table makes clear:

  • Seedance 2.5 costs about 3.9× as much as Wan 2.7 and about 2.2× as much as Kling 4.0 for the same 8-second, 720p clip.
  • Veo 3.1 has a fixed clip length of about 8 seconds on Banana AI, so the length setting doesn't change its price. Pick the tier (Lite, Basic, Premium) instead.
  • MiniMax H3 and PixVerse V6 are text-to-video only on Banana AI. To animate an existing image, use one of the other models.

What changes the price

Resolution. Higher resolution costs more on every per-second model. The same 8-second clip at 1080p:

Model720p, 8 s1080p, 8 s
Wan 2.7128 credits192 credits
Kling 3.0160 credits216 credits
Kling 4.0232 credits344 credits
Seedance 2.5504 credits1,264 credits

Seedance 2.5 more than doubles at 1080p, so drafting at 720p or 480p (224 credits for 8 seconds) and only rendering the final version at 1080p saves the most here.

Length. Kling 4.0, Seedance 2.5, MiniMax H3 and PixVerse V6 charge per second. Two examples:

  • Kling 4.0 at 720p: 435 credits for 15 seconds, 870 credits for 30 seconds.
  • Seedance 2.5 at 720p: 945 credits for 15 seconds.

Which one should you start with?

  • Lowest cost per test clip: Veo 3.1 Lite (15 credits) or Veo 3.1 Basic (30 credits).
  • Lowest cost per second when you need control over length: Wan 2.7 at 720p.
  • Long single shots (15–30 s): Kling 4.0, or Seedance 2.5 if budget allows.
  • Text-only ideas with no source image: MiniMax H3 or PixVerse V6 are the cheapest per-second options.

All of these run in the same AI video generator, so you can try the same prompt on two models and compare the results yourself.

FAQ

Which AI video model is cheapest on Banana AI?

Veo 3.1 Lite, at 15 credits for a fixed ~8-second clip. Among models where you choose the length, MiniMax H3 (64 credits for 8 seconds at 768P) and PixVerse V6 (80 credits for 8 seconds at 720p) are the cheapest, but both are text-to-video only.

How much does one Kling 4.0 video cost?

232 credits for 8 seconds at 720p, or 344 credits at 1080p. That is about $7.73–$18.95 per 8-second 720p clip depending on the credit pack.

Do I pay for a video that fails?

No. If a generation fails, the credits it used are automatically returned to your balance.

Can I make a video with the free sign-up credits?

New accounts get 10 free credits, valid for 30 days. The cheapest video (Veo 3.1 Lite) costs 15 credits, so the free credits are best used to try image generation first. The smallest credit pack is $4.9 for 60 credits.

Is Banana AI affiliated with Google, Kuaishou, ByteDance or Alibaba?

No. Banana AI is an independent platform that runs these third-party models through their providers. Model names refer to the model that renders your clip. See About Banana AI.
